Alejandro Cioranescu's work (1911-1999) as a researcher in Comparative Literature was developed in Spain since the fifties. Cioranescu is not only author of the first modern manual of Comparative Literature written in Spanish but his interest in this discipline issues (exchanges, contacts, translation) remained present over more than four decades in his Spanish bibliography. This work recovers one of the Romanian philologist article that may well be seen as his ideal for literary translation.
The eikos between Logic and Rhetoric. A Comparison between Aristotle and the Rhetorica ad Alexandrum.

The paper proposes a comparison between the Aristotelian concept of eikos and that which is found in the Rhetorica ad Alexandrum. The aim is to shed light upon both the differences between the two perspectives and their relative continuity in relation to the prior tradition. The basic assumption is that the rhetorical notion of eikos has theoretical worth and many philosophical questions revolve around it. The boundary between philosophy and rhetoric is much less defined than what a long tradition has led us to believe.

L'articolo propone una lettura dell'entimema aristotelico che tenga conto anche della tradizione precedente e contemporanea ad Aristotele. L'idea di fondo è che la ricostruzione della storia pre-aristotelica dell'entimema consenta di mettere in luce anche alcuni aspetti della posizione aristotelica che il prevalere di un'interpretazione logicista rischia di occultare. Il dibattito sulla nozione aristotelica di entimema è infatti concentrato prevalentemente sugli aspetti logici, alla ricerca di un unico tratto definitorio che lo distingua dagli altri sillogismi.
